"Play On!" Opening Night Success

Last night the comedy ‘Play On!’ opened to fantastic reviews from an enthusiastic audience.

Director Nell Pernitsch could not be present as she had to dash up to Newcastle for the early arrival of her new granddaughter. Stage Manager / Prompt Jayne Keegan ably stepped into the task of Director for the final dress rehearsals.

This show – which is about an amateur theatre company putting on a murder mystery – has been challenging to bring to the stage. The script is very complex and add to that the cold, cold rehearsal space, the brains of the cast members have been well and truly stretched!

But, opening night was a wonderful warm success, with an appreciative audience and the colourful cast and crew coming to the fore.
