ABOUT

WELCOME TO THE COOMA LITTLE THEATRE

Cooma Little Theatre (CLT) was founded in 1955 and has been active in the Monaro region as a community group since then.

Each year Cooma Little Theatre mounts at least two of its own high quality productions. These include a range of performance genres including comedy, drama, musicals and pantomime.

In addition, Cooma Little Theatre has hosted performances by touring professional groups such as the 'Railway Street Theatre' and a capella ensemble 'The Idea of North'. This delivery of high quality art and culture has continued in an unbroken stream since operations began in 1955.

ABOUT THE COOMA LITTLE THEATRE

Cooma Little Theatre is a non-profit community theatre which provides arts and culture (live drama, comedy, dance, musicals and dinner theatre). It is the only live theatre in the region and also hosts touring productions. Its self-sustained survival for 67 continuous years (in 2022) proves wide community support both from the larger towns and small communities.

The short-term goal is to deliver high quality live performances for enjoyment by audiences drawn mostly from surrounding communities in the Snowy-Monaro region. Achievement of this goal also ensures an opportunity for volunteers from these regions to participate as performers, technicians and administrators in the productions.

The long-term goal is to ensure that Cooma Little Theatre continues to exist and extend its activities even more widely into the surrounding regions.
